A little bit of dog fun. Messi is a film star dog at the moment. He is a seven-year-old border collie and he stars in the film Anatomy of a Fall, a tense drama about a woman going to trial for the murder of her husband and the only witness being a blind son and the dog: ‘Snoop’ played by Messi.

The film opened with rave reviews and Messi was at the Oscars last weekend in a bowtie being admired by everybody.
Having impressed audiences with his pivotal turn in the film as described by the reviewer In the Times and charming nominees at the Oscars lunch in February, Messi got his own seat in the stalls at the Oscar ceremony.
He didn’t disrupt the show. “The canine with the most expressive eyes in the business displayed his appreciation of Robert Downey Jr’s Best supporting actor win by clapping!” The words are from The Times newspaper. Thank you.
The video below is from Twitter/X showing Ryan Gosling being very appreciative of Messi’s presence and the fact that the dog is clapping along with the rest of the glamorous audience.

As you might imagine, Messi was not actually capping because as you can see in the photograph there is somebody down below holding a pair of dog’s front legs from some prop studio someone. It is that which amused Gosling.
