There has been a surge in rabbit adoptions over the coronavirus pandemic periods as is the case with cats and dogs. However, there appears to have been a bigger surge in respect of rabbits with an increase by more than 200% this past year. This increased interest may be behind the recent theft of Darius the world’s largest rabbit from his back garden enclosure if he is unsterilised and can be bred to produce offspring for sale to feed this surging marketplace.
