Midge, the small Chihuahua died aged 16 and her human companion Sheriff Dan McClelland died aged 67 of cancer. Midge died only hours after Dan. Dan loved his job as a sheriff but retired early to travel with his wife and dog. This surprised his successor who knew that Dan loved his job. Perhaps Dan knew he had cancer at that time? I’m just speculating. Midge was the world’s smallest police dog.
