Esther Whittingham is at the tender age of 12 but she is highly proficient at caring for sheep.
Her parents let her take care of every aspect of husbandry of sheep on their Chester farm.
Esther bought her first sheep at an auction at the age of seven.
She spends all the time that she can with them. She reads about them. She asks her parents to check up on one or two things when she is on the school bus.
It is a great story. When children love animals it is a win-win situation. Both animal and human benefit. If more children loved animals the welfare of animals would be enhanced for the future.
