You can hardly recognise this dog, Poopy, after she had a haircut at a dog grooming parlour.
There’s been a rush to take dogs to parlours after this last long UK coronavirus lockdown.
You wonder sometimes why they are taken to dog parlours grooming. Is it because the owners think the dog will be healthier with short hair or is it because they prefer the dog to have shorter hair?
Perhaps when they bought the dog from a breeder their hair was trimmed therefore they associate that length with the dog breed.
Throughout the three months of lockdown the hair grew longer than it was when they first adopted the dog so they try and recreate what they think is the right hair them.
Normally, the reason is for health purposes and to allow the dog to feel a bit cooler during hot weather which is on the horizon hopefully.
