Nathan Winograd in his newsletter writes the following: “The number of farmed animals killed by Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine will soon top 300,000. Animals in zoos, shelters, community pets, wild animals, and animal companions have also perished. Russian forces intentionally target animals, including pet dogs and horses, as ‘yet another way to inflict pain on the Ukrainian people’ — ‘by breaking their hearts'”.
The statement is shocking and to be honest a bit mystifying as Nathan uses the phrase ‘farmed animals’ followed by wild animals. Anyway, it is an astonishing number. I am not sure where it comes from. Although it does not surprise me. There have been many horrible stories. In one, Putin’s troops shelled an animal shelter and many of the cats and dogs died of heart attacks as it was so terrifying for them. The thought of it is hard to bear. In another horse stables were targeted and horses killed. And a zoo was shelled killing 100 animals. I despair. It is depressing.

And if it is true that Putin is targeting animals to inflict emotional pain on the Ukrainian people, surely Putin and his cronies are psychopaths. What the hell has happened to these people for them to behave in this way? And there are British people who support Putin. One of them is the former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone who said that he’d take a bullet for Putin and that he is a stand-up guy. F**k Ecclestone. He is as mad as the bloody Russian generals and Putin.

Below are some more pages on the invasion. I think Russia has blocked this website because I have criticised Putin. Big deal. I will go on criticising him. He has destabilized the world and caused a grain shortage in many countries. Russia is stealing millions of tons of Ukraine’s grain and selling it for profit. They’ve murdered innocent civilians and destroyed their homes and killed their pets in the thousands.
