The stray dog population in India is the world's largest at 30m

In my opinion the reason why the stray dog population of India is the world’s largest a 30 million is because of an attitude problem. There is a disrespect for animals. There is a disrespect for sterilising the animals and the relationship between people and animals is poor if it comes down to this.

There is also mismanagement of cat and dog ownership. There is mismanagement of the rescue of cats and dogs. There is apathy and a neglect. There is inhumanity perpetrated towards dogs when they are killed brutally.

The dogs exist partly because there’s so much garbage on the streets. In addition they are unsterilised. It’s a mess and it is a mess that has got so big it is probably almost impossible to deal with it successfully.
