Lobsters screech like violins

This is another tidbit of animal trivia which is actually quite important because it educates the human into better understand the animals with whom we share the planet. Ultimately and slowly this will lead to better animal welfare. Scientific Reports have published a study which tells us that spiny lobsters ward off predators by emitting a screech so loud that the sound can travel nearly two miles underwater. The sound is produced using a technique similar to using a violin.
