Date: June 1, 2021. Place: Quezon City, Philippines. Dog’s name: Cymon. He was inside his owner’s refrigerator to keep cool in their hot climate. They say that the video is for just fun and their pet was not hurt. Lesson: the Philippines is too hot for a lot of dogs! What to do about it? Perhaps this is an individual dog trait: this young dog just likes to be cooler. It does raise the question, though, about dogs being uncomfortable in warmer countries but not communicating that feeling to their owners. The same would go for colder countries and dogs feeling too cold to be comfortable. This would certainly apply to dogs kept outside in a kennel. Are people always sensitive to this? No.
